Director Toxicology

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Director of Toxicology to join Jazz Pharmaceuticals. As the Director, Toxicology, you will be responsible for managing global nonclinical regulatory and investigative toxicology for the assigned portfolio products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing toxicology expertise throughout the drug development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and manage direct reports in toxicology activities.
• Design and oversee toxicology studies at external CROs, interpret findings, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Represent Toxicology in cross-functional teams, identify potential issues, and propose risk mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to early development strategies, regulatory submissions, and scientific literature reviews.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Pathology, or related field with 8-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience in managing toxicology studies, interacting with study directors, and preparing regulatory submissions.
• Deep knowledge of FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines, GLP regulations, and nonclinical safety assessment.
• Excellent communication skills, scientific writing abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
