Job Description
As an Assistant Store Manager at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in store management, overseeing day-to-day activities, driving operational performance, managing schedules, and nurturing team development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement action plans to enhance store operations.
- Communicate job expectations and responsibilities to team members.
- Identify training opportunities to boost team performance.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and recommend strategic adjustments.
- Participate in the recruitment process and conduct interviews.
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization standards.
- Assist with stock management, merchandising, and ensuring product quality and freshness.
- Supervise daily operations, escalate issues as needed, and uphold customer service standards.
Qualifications
- 18 years or older.
- Experience in retail and management roles.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting company policies and procedures.
- Ability to set goals, guide performance, and drive results.
- Skilled in operating a cash register and store equipment.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task efficiently.
- Compliance with state and local requirements for alcohol sales.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.
- Combination of education and experience equivalent.
- Prior management experience preferred.
