Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store is well-organized, stocked, and that customers receive exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include cashiering, merchandising, and maintaining a clean store environment. If you are customer-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment, we would love to have you on board!
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate Aldi's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays neatly
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
- Give feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management
- Participate in store inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
- Comply with company policies and uphold document security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Physical Demands
The position requires the ability to stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, sit, stand, bend, push, pull, reach, and walk around the store. Accommodations can be made if needed.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Effective customer service and cash register skills
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Fulfill state and local requirements for handling alcohol
Education and Experience
Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent, with prior retail experience being an advantage. A blend of education and experience will be considered.
