Job Description
As a Full-Time Store Associate at ALDI, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience. In this position, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness in the store. Working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will provide exceptional customer service and contribute to the overall success of the store.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves neatly, and maintain merchandise displays
- Assist customers with their shopping experience
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management
- Provide feedback on products, inventory, and other store issues
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures
- Comply with company policies while maintaining security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Physical Demands
- Ability to stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds
- Regular activities include sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and walking around the store
- Must be able to perform duties comfortably
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of cash register and store equipment
- Compliance with company policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience is a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered
