Job Description
We are excited to announce an opening for a Local City Driver / Forklift Operator at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As a vital part of our team, you will be responsible for the safe pickup and delivery of cargo within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center. If you have a Class-A CDL, a passion for precision in logistics, and the drive to exceed customer expectations, this opportunity is for you.
General Description of Duties
- Conduct the pickup and delivery of cargo to designated destinations.
- Utilize forklifts and implements similar technology for loading/unloading trailers.
- Adhere to dock worker procedures and technology standards.
- Work schedule and duties may vary based on terminal location.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Require 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training available for candidates with less experience).
- Hold a Class-A CDL with specific endorsements and a clean driving record.
- Pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and medical requirements.
