Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public areas meet the high standards of HMP Properties. Additionally, you will oversee the housekeeping personnel, manage supplies and linen, and coordinate maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Create daily assignments and plans for housekeeping staff.
  • Supervise and monitor the work of Room Inspectors, Room Attendants, Housemen, Laundry, and Night Housemen.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and assign duties to department personnel.
  • Handle guest complaints effectively and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Supervise testing of new products for the department and communicate maintenance needs.
  • Ensure rooms are inspected daily for cleanliness and maintain storage areas.
  • Adhere to safety standards and company policies.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
  • Detail-oriented in room inspections and teamwork-oriented.
  • High school diploma required; 3+ years of hotel operations experience preferred.
  • Effective language and reasoning abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications.
