Job Description
The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking talented Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our care team in the Memory Care Unit at Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing. LPNs will work in a supportive and safe environment, offering activity-based care for individuals experiencing cognitive loss associated with dementia. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, compassionate, reliable, and have strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care and assistance in the Memory Care Unit.
- Ensure residents maintain dignity, purpose, and functional ability.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to meet the changing needs of individuals.
- Advocate for and support vulnerable residents in the unit.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by The State of Vermont.
- High aptitude for learning, strong customer service, and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to follow through on tasks.
