Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) at Aveanna Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following a care plan, and maintaining professional standards. We are currently actively seeking NG-TUBE and Weekend Nurses who desire flexible shifts.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate and deliver quality patient care as per physician orders.
  • Assess patient condition, report changes, and document care activities in a timely manner.
  • Implement and update nursing care plans, take necessary actions based on assessments, and prevent risks.
  • Adhere to Aveanna policies, regulatory guidelines, and infection control measures.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and self-care techniques.
  • Maintain nursing competencies through education and skill enhancement.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Current state license as a Licensed Nurse and CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance.
  • Minimum six months of recent clinical experience as a Licensed Nurse.
  • Preferably, experience in home health care.

Skills/Abilities

  • Attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication, organization, and conflict resolution abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, reposition patients, and move equipment.
  • Must have physical agility for walking, standing, bending, and other tasks.
  • Visual, hearing, smell, touch acuity required.

Environment

Must function in varied environments potentially exposed to allergens and infectious conditions.
