Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the physical structure of the hotel, ensuring the comfort and safety of our guests.

Job Functions

• Perform routine maintenance activities including painting, plumbing, and electrical wiring.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and address any heating or cooling issues.
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance procedures.
• Keep records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain the quality of the hotel's interior and exterior appearance.
• Inspect and repair guest room equipment, addressing any issues promptly.
• Ensure a well-stocked inventory of supplies for maintenance tasks.
• Inspect and repair minor problems in common areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience.
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

The role involves standing for long hours, using hands for various tasks, occasional bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities are also required. Fluency in English is essential.
