Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and maintain a cooperative working environment.
• Ensure proper specimen collection and communication with care providers.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Follow procedural directions and protocols accurately.
• Assist in maintaining productivity and organization in the laboratory.
• Handle specimen packaging, transport, and distribution.
• Perform patient registration, lab test ordering, and processing following protocols.
• Demonstrate infection control practices and proper patient identification.
• Provide phlebotomy services and perform drug screen collection.
• Engage in continuous self-evaluation and improvement of skills.
• Promote service excellence and contribute to the growth of the laboratory.
• Collaborate with various departments within the healthcare system.
• Conduct laboratory tests and assist with equipment preparation.
• Complete other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred certifications as a phlebotomist and medical lab assistant.
• Relevant experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
