Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Microbiology Supervisor to join our team at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As a Day Shift Microbiology Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of the department and upholding the highest standards of healthcare service.
Responsibilities
- Enforce sectional and departmental policies and procedures for smooth operations.
- Monitor supply purchases, adjust personnel scheduling, and serve as a resource for technical personnel.
- Train, schedule, and evaluate competency of new employees and students.
- Resolve departmental issues, develop policy manuals, and ensure compliance with accrediting agencies.
- Evaluate and develop technical competencies of personnel.
- Maintain employee relationships, support their development, and address departmental problems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MT/MLT certification from ASCP required.
- 5-7 years of MT/MLS experience in a hospital lab setting.
