Mobile Trailer Technician

Job Description

Fleet Mobile Maintenance is seeking a dedicated Mobile Trailer Technician to join our team. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial semi tractors and trailers.
• Write detailed work orders and handle Mobile Road Calls and In Yard tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer systems and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
• Maintain and adjust hubs, axles, and perform necessary replacements.
• Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts, including tires.
• Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
• Ensure trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of verified experience in trailer repair and 2 years in diesel repair.
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
• Basic Computer Skills for billing purposes.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions efficiently.
• Basic reading and writing skills for completing customer repair orders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with welding.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL.
• Ownership of personal tools.
