Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)

Job Description

We are currently seeking motivated and dedicated Overnight Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. The LPN/LVN will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring adherence to established care plans and physicians' orders. This position offers flexibility with shifts available for NG-TUBE Nurses and Weekend nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient conditions and report changes to supervisors or physicians.
• Document all activities, assessments, and care actions promptly and accurately.
• Participate in care plan development and updates.
• Implement appropriate nursing interventions based on assessments.
• Provide patient and family education on disease processes and self-care techniques.
• Maintain compliance with Aveanna policies, regulations, and professional standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in clinical assessments and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months recent clinical experience as a Licensed Nurse.
• Experience in home health is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and effective time management.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and reposition patients independently.
• Physical agility for various patient care activities.
• Visual, hearing, smell, and touch acuity.
• Capability to respond to emergencies in a home setting.

Environment

• Comfortable functioning in different environments with potential exposure to allergens and infectious substances.
• Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
