Payer Account Executive, National - Medicaid (Remote)

Job Description

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a National Payer Account Executive for Medicaid accounts to manage market access and relationships with key payers. As part of the Market Access team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring appropriate access for the Jazz product portfolio and driving business growth. This position requires extensive experience in pharma/biopharmaceutical account management, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market access strategies for Jazz products within assigned Medicaid accounts.
• Collaborate with internal teams and key stakeholders to overcome access obstacles and optimize reimbursement support services.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key individuals in target payers, industry organizations, and pharmaceutical companies.
• Lead cross-organizational projects and teams to drive market access and product value.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of pharma/biopharmaceutical experience with recent success in Medicaid account management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in complex healthcare environments.
• Strong understanding of formulary/PDL development, coverage and reimbursement issues, and compliance laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Educational Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree required (MBA, JD, or PharmD preferred).
• Experience with specialty products and market segments preferred.
• Clinical knowledge in therapeutic areas like Sleep/Neuroscience or Oncology advantageous.
