Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Phlebotomist to join the University of Vermont Health Network. As an LNA / Phlebotomist at Woodridge, you will play a vital role in phlebotomy specimen collections and providing direct nursing care to residents. This position involves collaborating with the nursing team, ensuring accurate specimen collection and documentation, and nurturing a high level of resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize residents needing phlebotomy services and perform venipunctures.
  • Collect urine specimens and follow-up on pending issues promptly.
  • Provide daily care to residents, including vital signs, personal hygiene, and assistance with daily activities.
  • Prepare residents for meals, assist with feeding, and maintain accurate records.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' condition, enhancing quality of care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve resident care and maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a phlebotomy course and venipuncture experience.
  • Certification in Phlebotomy is strongly preferred.
  • Registered as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting as a Phlebotomist and LNA.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic nursing care skills.
