Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Phlebotomist to join the University of Vermont Health Network. As an LNA / Phlebotomist at Woodridge, you will play a vital role in phlebotomy specimen collections and providing direct nursing care to residents. This position involves collaborating with the nursing team, ensuring accurate specimen collection and documentation, and nurturing a high level of resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize residents needing phlebotomy services and perform venipunctures.
- Collect urine specimens and follow-up on pending issues promptly.
- Provide daily care to residents, including vital signs, personal hygiene, and assistance with daily activities.
- Prepare residents for meals, assist with feeding, and maintain accurate records.
- Observe and report changes in residents' condition, enhancing quality of care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve resident care and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a phlebotomy course and venipuncture experience.
- Certification in Phlebotomy is strongly preferred.
- Registered as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting as a Phlebotomist and LNA.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic nursing care skills.
