Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at The University of Vermont Health Network. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient care in the Emergency Room, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Utilize the nursing process to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Adhere to the highest standards of nursing practice and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS.
• Past Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Minimum one year of past medical/surgical experience as an RN.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and handle multiple priorities.
• Highly motivated and collaborative team player.

Requirements

• Ability to pass Critical Care exam within one month of employment or possess a current CEN certificate.
• Physical pre-placement screening clearance required.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting or physician office practice is a plus.
