Registered Nurse for Cardiac & Vascular Care

Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Vascular Care Unit team at The University of Vermont Health Network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating care for post-procedural extended recovery and observational care patients. Utilizing the nursing process, the Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes while maintaining professional standards and collaborating with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate care for post-procedural extended recovery and observational care patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes using the nursing process.
• Direct and guide the delivery of nursing care and patient education.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and collaborate with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• BLS or ACLS required with ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrates flexibility, willingness to learn new skills, and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Training in attending to special needs appropriate to patient age.
