Job Description
The University of Vermont Health Network is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to patients throughout their perioperative experience, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure evaluation and education.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process.
- Assure a seamless perioperative experience for patients undergoing surgical/invasive procedures.
- Specialize in two out of three areas of Perioperative Services: Operating Room Circulating Nurse, Pre/Post Nurse, or Endoscopy Nurse.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
- Minimum of two years of med/surg nursing experience; Critical Care experience preferred.
- ACLS certification required, PALS certification within 12 months.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Competency in IV therapy and venipuncture.
