Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As an RN, you will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients based on individual care plans and physician orders while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in adherence to physician orders.
• Continuously assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to supervisors and physicians.
• Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, and care coordination promptly.
• Develop, implement, and update nursing care plans.
• Take necessary nursing actions based on assessments and achieve expected outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-care techniques, and preventive strategies.
• Maintain competencies through educational programs and skill evaluations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care.
• Specific state requirements as applicable.

Preferences

• Six months of recent nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Home health experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities

• Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Strong organization and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
• Capability to lift 50 pounds and travel as needed.
• Physical stamina for various tasks including prolonged standing, bending, and climbing stairs.

Environment
