staff - Assistant Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg - $32-52 per hour

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Grafton, Wisconsin. In this role, you will work as part of the Med Surg specialty discipline, providing essential care to patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Major Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care activities such as bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Measure and document vital signs and patient data accurately.
• Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
• Complete various errands, maintain stock, and clean work areas.
• Assist with patient positioning, transporting, and nutritional needs.
• Contribute to maintaining skin integrity and providing necessary care.
• Practice infection prevention procedures and demonstrate age-specific patient care knowledge.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Nurse Aide registration in good standing.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Basic computer skills and excellent communication abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Must be able to perform various physical tasks and handle work shift demands.
• Exposure to various hazards, including protective clothing requirements.
• Operation of necessary equipment during job duties.
