Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join us as a Store Management Trainee at Aldi. As part of this role, you will undergo comprehensive training in all aspects of store management to prepare you for taking on the responsibilities of running your own store successfully. Your duties will involve supervising daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staffing needs, and developing operational plans. You will also be responsible for mentoring and leading a team to achieve exceptional performance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising day-to-day store operations to deliver the highest level of customer service
  • Implementing company strategies and core values to foster teamwork and a positive work environment
  • Handling customer concerns and ensuring their resolution
  • Maintaining store signage, product quality, and freshness standards
  • Participating in the recruitment and hiring process of store personnel
  • Developing and managing weekly schedules to optimize staffing levels
  • Providing job responsibilities, performance expectations, and training opportunities to team members
  • Conducting store meetings and performance evaluations
  • Managing store payroll and budget targets
  • Monitoring the competitive landscape to recommend strategic adjustments
  • Ensuring a safe store environment for employees, customers, and vendors
  • Overseeing product merchandising, stock levels, and inventory management

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying company policies
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in operating cash registers and store equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience
  • Prior management experience is a plus
