Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a Store Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience through merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness. You will collaborate with the Aldi team to provide exceptional customer service and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the essential Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures
• Comply with all company policies while maintaining security and confidentiality
• Complete any other tasks assigned by management

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment
• Capable of maintaining cleanliness to company standards
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales where applicable

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail experience is advantageous
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
