Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Store Operations Assistant to join Aldi, a leading retail company. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store runs smoothly by merchandising products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. By providing exceptional customer service and collaborating effectively with the team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service, assist shoppers, and communicate effectively with the team and management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures.
• Follow established policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
• Execute general cleaning tasks to company standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and in a team.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Meet all state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is a plus.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
