Job Description
We are looking for a talented VP, Late Development Team Lead, Oncology to join our global biopharmaceutical company, Jazz Pharmaceuticals. As the Late Development Team Lead, you will play a critical role in leading the Late Development Team to establish and execute global product strategies in the field of oncology. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to strategic planning, and ensure successful product development from proof of concept to approval.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide cross-functional Late Development Teams in product strategy execution.
- Establish vision and strategy for product development in collaboration with matrix teams.
- Identify global development opportunities to optimize value for patients.
- Participate in Long Range Planning and develop Integrated Product Development Plans for regulatory filings.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to functional matrix teams.
- Mentor team members, ensure team effectiveness, and promote diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with leaders to align on development strategy and optimize product value.
- Ensure timely escalation of risks and issues to senior leaders and governance committees.
- Engage in disease area assessments and portfolio initiatives.
- Develop effective relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders.
Requirements
- 15+ years of global multi-disciplinary drug development experience in the pharma/biotech industry.
- Proven leadership in strategic multi-functional environments with a track record of delivering results.
- Experience in late phase Solid Tumor Oncology drug development and regulatory submissions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead collaborations, alliances, and relationships effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with cross-cultural management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) required.
